VSSM Bursary Application – Valhalla fine arts

VSSM has a limited bursary fund, administered by an arms-length committee which makes its decisions at the end of June.

Preference will be given . . .

to students who are likely to benefit significantly from attending the VSSM
to families in financial need
to students who are members of a racially disadvantaged group
and if the student’s instrument and playing level will enhance the overall enrolment balance at VSSM this may also be a factor in the Committee’s final decision.

There are multiple parts of the application. Please make sure that all parts are completed and received prior to the June 30 deadline:

The form below, filled out by the student or parent/guardian
The Teacher Recommendation form, filled out by the private lesson instructor
An optional Second Recommendation, ideally filled out by someone you have worked with who is affiliated with VSSM or is known to VSSM faculty.

The recommendation forms must be completed and submitted confidentially. Our preference is to receive these electronically, via a web-form link which we send directly to the teacher. It is your responsibility to ensure that your teacher(s) submit forms in a timely fashion.
