THE EUPHORICS

The Euphorics -- a joyful, energetic, powerful, seasoned a cappella quartet with large range of material. Each of the Euphorics is a powerful lead singer; together, they create a rich and soulful blend in a repertoire of top-notch originals and innovative arrangements of covers in a wide variety of styles including gospel, jazz, classical, and rock.

The Euphorics' passion for music comes through in performances that feature plenty of humour and audience interaction. They have been performing internationally since 1983. In 1999, the Euphorics won the Harmony Sweepstakes - San Francisco Bay Area Regionals a cappella competition.

Their latest CD, Born to Sing (2008), features dynamic medleys of classics, originals, and the exciting debut of tenor David Steele. Their CD Standing up for Love (1998), is featured on a cappella radio programs throughout the world from Saint Louis to Singapore. The Euphorics also have an album for children: So...What's With The Pants? (2003).

CORAZÓN VOCAL ENSEMBLE (Allison Girvan, conductor)

True to their name, Corazón sings from the heart and has in turn won the hearts of many Canadian audiences in the nine years since it began. This talented and motivated group of young singers from the town of Nelson B.C. has gained a reputation for their blend, intonation and their world music repertoire.

Corazón's goal is to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and others by experiencing music from many cultures in many languages. The ensemble feels that by exploration in rehearsal and presentation in concert we are all, singers and listeners alike, drawn together to embrace our similarities and share in the celebration of our differences.

The group has just completed their second CD, "Voice to Voice".
