The Concert Series was established as a way to thank the people of the Slocan Valley for supporting our programs and to further enrich the cultural life our surrounding communities. This year's concerts will feature a diverse line-up of musicians from differing genres and instrumentations.
Violin Solo Performance by Maria Van der Sloot, August 20, 2009Maria van der Sloot, chosen to participate in the Wieniawski Competition in Poland this September, has been a VSSM student for many years. She will be previewing her competition repertoire for a Valhalla audience in recital performance with pianist Suzanne Ruberg-Gordon at Silverton Memorial Hall on Thursday August 20 at 7 pm. Admission is by donation.Corazón Vocal Ensemble, May 1st 2009We are pleased to announce that Nelson’s Corazón vocal ensemble will be the first performers of the Valhalla Community Concert series. The choir will be performing Friday, May 1, 7:00 pm at the Memorial Hall in Silverton. Admission is by donation, with refreshments to follow.
